01 · The brief

a 2-kanal villa with formal restraint.

Casa Octavia is a concept-stage residence on a 2-kanal plot in DHA Phase 6, Lahore. The front elevation reads as quietly classical: symmetrical wings flanking a tall central recess, a façade in beige limestone and travertine, and the kind of formal proportion that holds up over decades. The ornament is restrained, the silhouette is clear.

BloxDot is taking the project from concept through architecture and interior design. The plan organises a generous public floor (living, dining, kitchen) along the central entry axis, with private rooms behind the symmetrical balcony band upstairs. The interior continues the discipline of the elevation: travertine, walnut, soft plaster, and warm linear lighting throughout.

03 · The story

classical proportion, modern restraint.

The defining decision on Casa Octavia is the discipline of subtraction. The villa reads as classical, but the moves are contemporary. The portico is a void, not a colonnade. The cornice is a clean horizontal cap, not a dentilled entablature. Symmetry holds the composition because the proportions hold. There is restraint where another studio would have added ornament.

The material palette runs from outside to inside without breaking. Beige limestone and travertine on the façade carry through to the entry hall, the powder rooms, and the master bathroom. Walnut joinery defines the rooms inside. Soft plaster walls absorb light and let the architecture of the rooms read clearly. The interior never competes with the building.

The plan organises around an axis. Public rooms line the ground floor, glazed front and back. Private rooms sit upstairs behind the symmetrical balcony band. The master suite uses a curved channel-tufted headboard wall and a walnut-and-marble TV wall to give the room a sense of place without leaning on decoration. Bathrooms are travertine-clad, calm, and dimensionally generous. Every visible decision is held to the same standard the elevation sets at the street.
